Learning for Pleasure
The student chooses pieces to learn in discussion and agreement with the teacher. The focus is on the joy of music-making — exploring repertoire that genuinely excites and motivates. Progress is measured by personal satisfaction and musical growth, not examinations.
TMS Certificate Programme
Students follow the Teleki Music Studies syllabus with rigour and purpose. At the end of each semester, an examination by an independent panel awards the TMS certificate — a credential that reflects genuine musical achievement and the European conservatory standard.
For young learners, the focus is on rhythm development and age-appropriate music. We introduce the very basics of music playfully — singing together, storytelling about composers, and installing the love and magic of music-making that will enrich a child's life for decades.
- Rhythm development and steady beat
- Age-appropriate repertoire
- Playful introduction to music reading
- Stories about composers and instruments
- Parental involvement encouraged
Youth lessons move through four stages: imitation, exploration, improvisation, and composition — each lesson building on the last. We use cross-cultural folk music and composed music of high artistic value, supporting students toward sight reading, ear training, and personal expression.
- Four-stage progression model
- Pitch, tempo, meter, and musicianship
- Sight reading and ear training
- Cross-cultural repertoire
- Improvisation and composition
